I had the misfortune to be born into a half Catholic half Jewish union.. Growing up thinking my mother killed Jesus affected me, thus, I got into radio. My other choice was the carnival. I am still reconsidering. I'm married to a wonderful Kentucky girl, and have figured out the BEST thing about marriage. MEN NO LONGER HAVE TO THINK! It really is the best thing going. Every day for 4 hours, I get to unleash my inner 13 yr. old and have fun. BEST JOB EVER! Thanks for listening and please don't stop, I need the money!
Twitch by Shortbus and Manlove:
Few
people take male pattern baldness to an art form, but Twitch is a
Picasso. After being kicked out of virtually every radio station in the
Northern Hemisphere, Twitch made his way to Lexington in 2004 because it
was the only town that the restraining orders did not cover. After
dropping 650 pounds, he married, surprisingly not to Billy Joel or
anyone on the food network, although rumors of a brief affair with Alton
Brown continue to swirl.
Twitch resembles the offspring of Captain Caveman and Chris Farley. He
spends his days working on his one-man music "Gon' Getcha" about the
life and times of Rip Taylor.
Shortbus in his own words:
Shortbus joined the show as a stunt guy in 2004 and hoped to make a living one day in radio. 6 years later, nothing has changed, he is still hoping! An avid fan of pro wrestling and standup comedy, Shortbus is currently a college student who eats cheetos and lives with his mother. Come to think of it, that hasn’t changed either!
Shortbus by Twitch and Manlove:
Shortbus has come to be famous for 3 things: His love of pro wrestling, A sexual dry spell that lasted nearly a decade, and owning the worlds’ largest collection of Freddie Mercury related erotica! In his mind, his comedic skills are matched only by his sexual prowess... In reality, both are as non-existent as tales of the Mothman. Shortbus' greatest dreams are to move out of his mother’s basement and wake up next to Ric Flair. Both will NEVER HAPPEN! He was fired from the show 5 years ago, yet for some reason, still shows up... No one has the heart to turn him away.
Manlove in his own words:
Manlove was born and raised in Lexington KY. He went to school to become and audio engineer. He came to Z ROCK to begin an internship with the morning show in 07' and eventually became the very foundation the show is built on!
Manlove by Twitch and Shortbus:
A student of comedy with a "D" average, Manlove joined the station in 2007 after a lifetime of accomplishing next to nothing. An avid Dukes of Hazard fan, with a fear of sexual intimacy, Manlove is an eccentric old soul who claims to have invented Ale 8 only to have the recipe stolen at the turn of the century. Yes he is delusional!
Today, Manlove is picking up the pieces of his life, and adding his two cents to Twitch and the Z ROCK morning show when his busy schedule of sleeping eating and filming German fetish films allows him. He is prone to violent mood swings, and has been known to go on weeklong crying/eating binges... His severe need for attention is eclipsed only by his poor hygiene and low self esteem. Strangely, he is single!
